The Brand Laureate Award

WTC KL was named the 2009-2010 Iconic Landmark for Country Branding at the Brand Laureate Award by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation in March 2010. It is a prestigious award which honours branding excellence among multi-nationals, public-listed and government-linked companies in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region.

Best Meetings & Conference Centre – Asia

Achievements & Accolades Best Meetings & Conference Centre – Asia World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur is proud to announce that the Centre has been named the Best Destinations 2012 Travel Awards for Best Meetings & Conference Centre – Asia. In its fifth year, this Travel Award is organised by Business Destinations magazine, based in London, an industry-leading magazine for international MICE Managers and Corporate Travel Managers.

 

The Business Destinations Travel Awards voters are MICE Managers and Corporate Travel Managers from Fortune 500 companies and members of The Association or Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE). Voting is solicited through an international email campaign, garnering participation through the Business Destinations website with strict criteria to assess those nominated.

Malaysia’s Prominent Brand

Another award for WTC KL when it was named Malaysia’s Prominent Brand in conjunction with Malaysia Independence Award 1957 @ ‘Anugerah Merdeka’. The award was presented by TYT Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka, Tun Datuk Seri Utama Mohd Khalil Bin Yaakob to Datuk Maxson Abdullah H. Jaafar, Chief Executive Officer WTC KL.

The award recognizes the achievement and contribution for companies incorporated in Malaysia, small-and-medium size enterprise and industry, government-linked companies and international/multi-national companies.

The International Corporate Award

The International Corporate Award is proud to acknowledge those members of WTC KL who have gone above and beyond their usual call of duty to contribute to the organization’s success through its annual award.

Each year, the executive committee of ICA recommends a list of nominations to the Board of Directors, who review the list to select the winners based on each overall contribution. Recipients of the award have dedicated their time and effort to help advance ICA standards and initiatives. These awards serve as a token of our appreciation and gratitude to their continued dedication.

This award recognizes the contributions of WTC KL as a corporate brand including its time, energy, innovation and leadership. It is because of that WTC KL is a thriving and matured organization in South East Asia region.

2013 has been another successful year for WTC KL. There have been many exciting announcements and technical advances within the organization including the achievement of revenue, reformation of the meeting rooms, and many more. This continued success ensures that WTC KL remains at the forefront of the industry.

We owe our accomplishments and successes to the hard work and dedication of all members, without which WTC KL would not be where it is today. Congratulations WTC KL for being awarded the International Client Choice award 2014.

30 years of Excellence - Business Events Excellence Award by MACEOS

MACEOS, the Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers, hosted the 2018 Business Events Excellence Awards at the Setia City Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, on 10th October, to celebrate the achievements of the Malaysian BE industry and recognition to the member companies who have excelled in their respective fields of endeavours in the past years. PWTC was awarded the ’30 Years of Excellence Award’ by MACEOS, once again proving the company’s capability.

 

The award recognizes PWTC for its outstanding achievements and breakthroughs in the business events industry. The criteria include:

As Executive Director of World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), YBhg. Dato’ Seri Dr. Irmohizam Ibrahim has a clear vision – to make WTCKL the leading hub of meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) in the region and globally.

 

With a new brand proposition, WTCKL is set to be a critical player that advances the MICE industry with trade and tourism through its strategic membership within the World Trade Centres Association (WTCA), building its network as part of World Trade Centres of the world.

 

WTCKL has been awarded the International Business Review ASEAN Awards 2020 for Corporate Excellence in the Hospitality and Tourism Sector for its long unrivalled service and steady and passionate commitment to contributing to the nation and society.

The Best Convention and Exhibition Centre - World Tourism Excellence Awards 2020 by Tourism Council of Malaysia

The World Trade Centre (WTC) Kuala Lumpur has been awarded the best convention and exhibition centre by the Tourism Council of Malaysia at the World Tourism Excellence Awards 2020 event.

 

The award is based on WTC KL’s achievements in providing high-quality facilities and services designed specifically to provide an exceptional experience to organizers of conventions, exhibitions and meetings.

 

However, the presentation ceremony, which was to have taken place at ITB Berlin, Germany, was cancelled following the COVID-19 outbreak.

 

It was instead replaced by another ceremony at the opening of the Malaysia Travel Fair 2020 on March 13. Malaysia Tourism Council deputy secretary-general Mohd Zamri Mat Zain presented the award.

The Best International Business Event Branding at the Malaysia Tourism Council Gold Awards 2021

This award recognized the hard work of over 300 staff at WTCKL when the COVID-19 pandemic posed unprecedented challenges in organizing crowd activities. During the MCO, WTCKL served as the vaccination centre (PPV WTCKL), administering over 1.3 million Astrazeneca vaccines for five months before the government lifted the restriction on MICE activities. WTCKL pledged to continue contributing to Malaysia’s tourism, MICE, and BE industry.
